THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC, Position Description Number D1367000 and is part of the PA 171st Air Refueling Wing, National Guard. 1 or more Position(s) may be hired against this Announcement. Accessioning will not occur until the incumbent vacates the position.
Duties As an AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-8268-10, you will perform maintenance and operational and functional checks on assigned pneudraulic systems. Perform installation, modification, and/or repair of aircraft pneudraulic systems. Perform organizational and field level maintenance to include periodic, phase time, calendar, unscheduled, and special inspection. Prepare for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations such as ORI, IG and UE inspections, mobility, and command support exercises. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Non Bargaining Position AOC 1: NG Employees at the 171st Air Refueling Wing AOC 2: NG employees in the 171st Air Refueling Wing (This includes 258th ATCS, 146 Weather Flight, 146 ARS, and 147 ARS) AOC 3: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC 4: All service members of the Pennsylvania National Guard (This includes Traditional Airmen, Temporary Technicians and AGR Personnel) AOC 5: Individuals who are currently serving in another branch of service who are willing to become members of the PANG Military Grades: ENLISTED: E4 - E6 Supervisor for this position is MSgt Baloga Manpower #00854888 *NOTE: Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Secret Security Clearance -Individual(s) nominated must successfully complete a baseline initial employment physical examination in accordance with 5 CFR, Part 339 and Technician Personnel Regulation TPR 335. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: - Experience or training which demonstrates your knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; knowledge of troubleshooting procedures used to isolate malfunctions in aircraft pneudraulic systems; and ability to use technical manuals, equipment specifications, and test calibration procedures in performing the work. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which provided a knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles. Experience in fabricating fuel, oil and vacuum hose lines. Experience in servicing, maintaining, disassembling assembling, repairing and testing hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Experience in diagnosing malfunctions and overhauling pneudraulic accessories by disassembling, cleaning part and examining parts. Experience in diagnosing trouble and determining remedies. Experience in repairing, rebuilding and overhauling major systems of ground equipment and pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Experience in mechanical repairs using hand tools and test equipment. Experience that demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications and publications. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying.
